4.5 into Windows but was not stable in Orthos small FTT's. I'm pretty sure I can get my rig stable at 4.5 and even more if I apply the volts needed and take my time and tweak it.

If you want to find the max oc you will have to spend the time it takes to find it...usually hours and hours.

I got a very fast POST with a Pentium D 2.66 up over 4.0GHz. Not long enough to do anything. Saw a background, then a BSOD, so I couldn't snap a shot.

I went for 4.5 (500 x 9) on my q6600. I pretty much knew it wouldn't work. I cranked the vcore up to around 1.5 and gave the motherboard more fsb and nb voltages. I wasn't expecting it to ever run stably, just wanted to see if I could use the 500 fsb. surprisngly enough (not really) it didn't work.

Thanks, that was when I first got the cpu when they first came out, before many were reporting the voltage issue. dont think I would feed it that much now.
