Yeah I tried that also, I still recieve a illegal sumout in orthos on core 0 within a few minutes. Its either some sub timings, or just that the one core wont push any further, Im open to any and all suggestions.

Update: Well I dont know why I tried this, but glad I did, all my orthos testing has been on blend test priority 9. Now where Id get a illegal sumout so quick on the blend test, I decided to try small ffts. Well so far so good, so its looking at either my ram or my imc. If its the imc theres not much I can do about it other than through excessive voltage to cpu.

Im away to try playing with the ram a bit, and see what I can come up with. Ill keep you posted.

Blend takes into account the memory and not just the RAM but the related MB subsystem.
I had that issue when my GSkill DDR2 800 Black were at near default speeds.
Upping the SB on the Crosshair cured that. On the TA770 A2+ you only have a single chip set voltage but it to need more juice.

With the Crosshair, even the NB need a little bump too, I think it was two clicks up.
Unsure what default SB was but I was as high as 1.6v with the 5000+ BE at a mid 3300 range. I later found it only need 1.55v.

If I find my notes I'll fill you in in more detail

Hmm, then Ill need a cooling upgrade on the sb if I dare push that high. I got a tt extreme spirit for the nb, maybe I should swap it to the sb. Ill go and give these voltage adjustments a try and report back.

BTW my ram runs rock solid at stock specs at 1000 at 3.0, Im just yearning mid 3.3. Thanks for all the help and rep up man.

Right on the duke, Im making progress, I have now actually passed the first blend test on orthos. sb volts didnt do much, but 4 clicks of the nb and one click of the nb ht voltage seems to be doing quite nicely. You get a million e-cookies from me

Remember the thread I made a while back & said that my max bootable clock was 3447? Looks like youve hit the wall too.

I dont really think that fiddling with subtimings is going to get you any gain in stability. As I have stated before, I think this is just the utter limit of the chip. Maybe a Brisbane 6000+ or Windsor 6400+(though still hard to find) can hit 3.4 stable. But with quite a pricetag also.

Plus, who wants to run 1.6vcore anyway...

Maybe try pulling one stick of RAM to alleviate some stress from the chipset(for death-run purposes only... duhr)... Kinda far-fetched, but it might work.

Well remember you saying Id never hit below 26secs on super pi, well look at screenie. After figuring out what voltages need adjusted coming from my 939 setup, sit back and wait. Im climbing slowly but surely.

Edit, this was out of the box overclocking, no fine tuning involved.
