Help With Connection Problems

Thread Starter
ok so ive had both my ps3s around 6-8 months and theyve both been connected to the internet for that same amount of time running great with great connections no lag at all
recently the connections seemed to have gone out and has been like that for the past week-week and a half
now when i try to play online my connection is red and lags horribly...even with a wired connection
i opened the ports for the ps3...didnt help
got a better router...didnt help
my signal strength has gone from about 60% to 90% after switching routers and yet it still lags
does anyone know what i can do...ive run out of things to try
ive called linksys ive called sony they both seem to think its my internet provider...even though i told them the connection was fine for 6 months
cable guy even came out and tested all my gear and said there wasnt a problem
i dont think its a problem with the ps3 seeing that both of them have the same exact problem

Um, check the see if you aren't limiting bandwidth to the PS3 and I would have to say that the things that I would check, are the ethernet ports (weird that BOTH of the PS3s are doing it ) or the ISP/Modem (but you said you checked them, so idk). Sorry if i'm not about to help :/.

You can try putting your ps3's ip address in the DMZ on your router.
