This psu is generic with 25 amps on the 12v rail. Will that be enough for a 4850 including my sig rig??

cheers

"In my view the Radeon HD 4850 series require you to have a 450 Watt power supply unit at minimum if you use it in a high-end system, and I think that's barely on the safe side. Also recommended is 30 AMP's on the 12 volts rails for stable power distribution (on a single card configuration). Notice that the card uses one 6-pin power connector."

You're pretty much right. It's likely that it won't power that HD4850 well enough.

You can't go wrong with Corsair PSU's. Excellent quality and reliability. This Corsair VX 550W or HX 520W would be sufficient (for a single card, of course).

Or if you want a little more power, you could try this TX 650W.

My friend got the Corsair 650 on a budget and it worked for him, plus the 52A rail would be plenty, hell it beats mine of 38A
