Ati Bios Flashing

what will happen if i flashed a 256mb to a 512mb video memory bios.
will it damage the card?

It most likely won't work as the hardware it's trying to use is missing... i think.

The only BIOS flashes you can do is on cards that have the same hardware but different clocks or "enabled" hardware if you see what i mean (reference: X800gto2)

I'm gonna try it outwhen i get home i'm gonna flash my card from a
HD2900 gt 256mb 256bit bios to a hd2900pro 512mb 256bit bios.

its uses the same gpu if it dont work then i'll flash it back to original.

I really wouldn't try. You can seriously brick your card. If it were so easy, you wouldn't see people with so many issues after doing it.

i flashed my card with a 512mb video mem bios there were just lines on my screen so i flashed it back to the original bios. i wanted the open the other 4 ROP's with the hd2900pro bios.
