So glad I waited for this. This is going to be the next card in my rig. Along with a new RAID setup, new PSU and my new copy of Vista Ultimate X64.

Question, is it somehow possible to buy one of these and use my GTS' for physics processing only, I havent really looked into this whole physics ability for graphics cards in full detail yet, but I am just going to assume no.

Your assumption is correct! Physics processing is done through software(CFX/SLI) and since the two cards will not be configured as such, Physics won't run on the GTS. AMD has already stated that they will not be implementing any type of physics on it's cards AT THIS TIME. Your CPU is more than capable of running all the physics you need for modern games.

I asked this question at the Nvidia forums, seems that one is a big 'pending' right now.

Apparently you'd need both catalyst and forceware installed, and Vista does not like two display drivers installed at the same time. So unless they allow GeForce PhysX without the actual display drivers, and only PhysX drivers, then no.

is it me or does it seem like that card is going to have some pretty horrible cooling, especially the 2nd core?

Its the original HD 4870x2 with the original cooler and stock clocks basically. Each brand refers to it and only changes the sticker etc.

Later each brand makes their own designs, ex. Sapphire Toxic, ASUS Top, HIS Ice4 Turbq or from Nvidia's side XFX XXX Alpha dog Edition XXX or w/e. They can only customize the clocks, or add their own cooler on these ones.

you sir are sigged.

On topic, this looks to be a beast of a card, if I had a semi modern computer... and a job...I would totally pick this up.
