haha im trying to decide if i should just stick with 2 gigs of memory being i dont do anything that requires 4gigs.... But ill upgrade the 2 gigs to the 1066.. I might just stick with the E2180 and get a new case instead of going with the e7200.. I'm sure ill be able to reach 3GHZ overclock with the E2180 and for the extra $$ I don't think i'll notice a drastic change or would I???

Thing is...If you want 4gb in the future, then you're stuck with 4x1gb, which tends to stress the memory controller, and lower the overall overclock. Whereas with 2x2gb you have an easy upgrade path to 4x2gb in the future.
From my experiece, I had to lose my 1066 overclock on my 800 RAM because I added 2 more sticks, now I have to run at 960mhz.
Anyway, go with what you think

The extra cache on the e7200 would notice (in some games/benches), also you would probably notice the difference between 3.2ghz and 3.6ghz. The e7200 also runs a bit cooler. But it won't be a huge difference TBH.

Yea but I dont really play any intense games.. WoW,WC3 TFT,CSS.. and Diablo 3 soon.. So the extra money would be better spent towards the new case.. Haha the E2180 shouldnt run too hot with a XIGMATEK HDT-S1283.. Plus as said if I get another case It would help with cooling I also have 4 80mm fans as well and a HDD cooler. As for the memory I think ill stick with 2 gig because i'm still running XP I won't go to Vista.. Other OS I run is Gentoo...

Yeah...It sucks to have to lose 1/4 of your RAM. What case were you thinking about?

Heres a roundup between the E2180 and E7200-

reasons why the E7200 is better then the E2180. More L2 cache for one, as a doubling of L2 in low res gaming is a 6% increase in FPS.. E7200 is 45nm and runs cooler then E2180 either stock or oced. It does run cooler dispite the temp reading you may see in coretemp or realtemp. As on my Ninja HS at specs below for E7200 its cool to the touch with my fans on low. When i was using a E6400 @3.2ghz with fans on low the hs would be warm to the touch. Although temps showing in Coretemp stayed about the same, maybe 2c higher on the E7200. E7200's oc higher then the E2180's if your into that. E7200 has newer instruction set for A/V encoding to cut 15mins of encoding times. If you had 2180 and E7200 at the same speed. Encoding a/v without the E7200 running the new instruction set it would be about 5-10% faster per clock, in favor of the E7200. For the small price increase the E7200 is really the better CPU.

But 80mm fans are :turd: compared to 120mm fans. (sweeping generalisations FTW!)
