ABIT IP35P LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Page 7

excellent system for the money! You've got some great overclocking ability right there...DFI Lanparty! Xigmatek! and I hear Patriot is pretty good overclocking also. You should shoot for atleast 3.0 ghz on that e2180.

A bit of advice for the Lanparty though, it is not that user friendly. There are a LOT of bios options to choose from, but nonetheless, it's an EXCELLENT board for oc'ing. I'd definately search around here (and/or google) for DFI Lanparty guides.

Congrats on your new toy

Yeah looks like a nice system to me. You should easily be able to get 3.0ghz. Did you decide to stick with your current case? (if so what is it )

Yeah...Modding a side window should be pretty easy, particularly with the addition of some 'C' channel .

Whats C Channel? I though about just using like pop rivets or small bolts.

C channel is rubber trim that you can push over the cut edge of the case. That way any bad edges from the cut are hidden by the rubber trim. And for holding the window on, most people on here use '3M' branded double-sided tape. Its really strong and doesn't show from the outside.

Ok so I got everything put together... Computer runs very fast but it seems hot? 40c for CPU and 49C for northbridge system says 45c... Is this normal or should i re-apply more thermal paste to the processor? My room is hot because its like 88 degrees outside and I'm too cheap to use the AC lol...I cleaned my case so there isnt any dust at all.. Also i'd like to know where I can begin with overclocking this system anyone know of a DK-p35-T2RS overclocking guide or tutorial???

What program are you using to measure temps. HWMonitor seems to be the only one that is accurate.
Your ambients will really affect the idle/load temps you are getting.
A reseat might be in order - I think there is a different technique for direct heatpipe coolers - need to try to fill in the crevaces between the heatpipes.

Here we go - How to apply thermal paste to a DHT cooler
