Question: Is this ram compatible with DDR2 800

Thread Starter
Hello this is my first system build and I was reccommended the Corsair Dominator 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 SDRAM Desktop Memory TWIN2X2048-8500C5D, DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500), 240-Pin, w/ Enhanced Performance Profiles, SLI Certified ( Link http://www.directron.com/twin2x2048c5d.html ). I was wondering if this is compatable with the Aus striker I Extreeme motherboard which requires/suggests DDR2 800 RAM.

If it is, then where can I find the suggested voltage for this RAM due to the fact that this motherboard has infamous voltage issues if left on AUTO.

Thanks for your help.

You should have no problem running those sticks on a DDR-800 motherboard @ 1.9v/2.0v @ 4/4/4/12 timings or probably even lower.

If you ask me, that's some quite expensive RAM considering how cheap it is these days...

Same ram for cheaper: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145043

4Gb of Ram at the same clocks for the same price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227298

Thank you for your help, I will probably have more questions regarding timings and voltages once I acttually build the system.
