Increase your cpu fans preformance by doing this simple check.

Thread Starter
Hello guys. Today i was really bored and I took out my motherboard. I noticed that the screws of the backplate could have gone on a few more turns. As a result, my load temp dropped from 65 (lololololol) to 55. I have an E2180@2.0GHz overclocked to 3.5GHz . Check your backplate guys. Make sure its tight, and make sure your cpu fan is there as tight as possible. Also, I removed the cpu fan, and completely cleaned off the thermal paste. I used rubbing alcohol and got some unseen crap off of the cpu and heatsink, and then tried a new technique of applying thermal paste. I see people put a tiny dot in the middle of the cpu. I decided to spread a heavy load of thermalpaste in the center, then smooth it out. Excess did leak , but out of the way of danger. I then wiped that up.

Try multiple techniques until you get consistently low temps from remounts.

You mean Heatsink, not fan.

Most of us on here have a heatsink with seperate fan and we already do this check lol.

Cheers anyway.
