Oh I'm sorry, I thought this was America. I've never had my G.Skill die on me, either. And no, the G.Skill 1066 is still D9, I believe, not power.

The 2x2GB 8000's use the same ICs as the 2x2GB 8500 (powerchip semi corp)

Main difference is in the PCB, 6-layer vs 8-layer.
