They perform well but like to die prematurely. Did you want that PSU for the modular cables? If so it will be hard to find a good ~500W PSU that is modular for that price. I can have a look around if that is what you wanted.

edit: You know what, I know the 620W version had the habit of dying but I'm not sure the 500W is the same. Lemme look around. If it turns out it doesn't die it is a decent PSU and a good deal for that price.

I have no personal experience with it, but heres a few reviews on it.
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/303
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...nt,1216-5.html
The second one it older, 06 I think. This is the psu I use and have great luck w/it.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...StealthXStream Only thing I have found was the power cables are a bit short and its not modular. I had to buy extentions for both the 24 pin and the 4 ppin cpu power cables to manage cables in my A900. Hope this helps you out.

Well, I can't find any widespread reports of failures for the 500W. There are better PSUs in this range but definitely not for that price. For example, the Corsair hx520 is one of the best modular PSUs but it is $90 after rebate: http://canadacomputers.com/index.php...410&cid=PS.808. The Liberty is a fairly old PSU, but it can still keep up with the newer stuff for the most part, especially at that price. A few other PSUs to look for would be the Antec NeoHE and the Zalman 500. They are in the same quality range and I had a look around at prices and they were pretty expensive compared to the Liberty. So unless you can find a good deal on one of those, I'd say the Liberty will do just fine.
