I have been considering going from a 5200+ to a 6400+ to try to get a good 15-20% overclock....lots of great info in this thread! Turns out I am completely wrong and the stable overclocks I can get on my Windsor 5200+ aren't necessarily going to scale the same as the 6400+. Boo. /Wait for AMD to finally release a dual core to compete with the intels!

Once their 45nm's come out, they should be able to do some massive overclocking.

The ones they are mostly talking about nowadays are the Quads but there should be Duals as well. Either way, I'll get one of the new Duals and a new Quad. But I'm going Quad first.

Thread Starter
well trying it again...i am thinking of making it around 3.5ghz which should work...very nicely with 12 multiple...

it seems to me that what is mostly stable isn't what looks good on paper...but what looks stable with good temps...

i don't think anything less than a tec cpu block will get me anywhere close to 3.6ghz but i will try...

Hey mate, funny I have this topic, you will get about a 14% "Stable" OC on this chip witch is about 3.6. I have attached a easy to use excel sheet I came with to help you with overclock and what not.

Every chip is different, your most likely not going to be able to use the exact same clocks/voltages as Sentry but it would be good to use as a reference.
