Its not hard, windows has something that will do it just fine. Just find a pic of a BSOD on google, put it in a folder. Set "my photos" or "photos" in windows Vista/7 as the screensaver (everyone running windows has this) and then configure it to use images in the folder you created. When the screensaver goes up, it'll put up your ONE image, the BSOD. Almost did it with the boss's computer, until i was warned the boss doesn't like practical jokes much. (risk of getting fired)

There's a trick to really freaking ppl out. This screensaver doesn't wake up with the mouse, but it does with the keyboard. What you have to do is unplug the keyboard ... or hope they have a PS2 keyboard so you can unplug it and then plug it back in (since it won't be detected IIRC).
