Fairly inexpensive and very effective.

How's the Antec 1200 versus the Antec 900?

any case with both side covers opened and a standard household fan blowing to it.

I have this setup with my AMD rig and it keeps my phenom idles at 25c with the stock heatsink.

But what if like most people you don't like dust?

Also the fan would look ugly. Many people want to keep it looking neat and clean.

Thread Starter
Thank you Overclockers for your insights, ideas, and oppinions. With the information provided I ordered a NZXT Tempest Case and recently purchased a Thermaltake Big Typhoon cpu cooler. I am going for one of the coldest cases on OC.com, of course my AC bill will probably raise around 20 bucks next month !

Your information was invaluable thanks again!

Alright here i'll just give you something to think on about the Antec 900

I have this case and i really think its up there in cooling most defs!
Im running an E8400 and i can put it up to 3.9Ghz and its running stable!
If i turn up the fans to about 80% when only playing games, i can put the core clock at 806Mhz from 675, (i think i can do more, that was only one i was playing) and when i play games like crysis, my temp is at about 58C-60C
so i think its a pretty nice case.
All this is being done without the 120mm fan on the side panel:O:O:O
