Can't boot after deleting partition

Thread Starter
Okay o i have been dual booting XP and Vista for several months and i needed more space on my vista partition and i wasn't using the xp partition at all so i decided to completely delete the xp partition. I used acronis disk director suite to wipe and then delete my xp partition. after this was complete my computer reboted. and before it could get to the windows loading screen it gave me this error: "NTLDR is missing press ctrl+alt+del to restart". everything upp until that point is normal. I can enter and navigate the bios normally. clearing the cmos has done nothing. any ideas?

Deleting the partition apparently messed up your boot sectors. Pop the Vista DVD in the drive and boot from it. Let it try to repair whatever it needs to

do what chozart said, it could be that you deleted some required files or programs that windwos needed to start, also you might have to set your remaining partition to primary

alright i am having trouble finding my individual partitions in the bios. i think setting my vista partition to primary should work but i cant find it. i can find boot device priority but that only has WD 250gb listed and not the partition within it. it is a dfi mobo running on phoenix bios if that helps. anyone know where to find it?

edit: igave up on finding it in the bios and i am trying to boot from my vista dvd. i have managed to boot from it but it takes me to the initial wondows install screen where you select language, etc. i do not want to reinstall vista... i just want to boot into it. wht should i do?
