Virgin Media has blamed an "administrative oversight" for the warning labels that appeared on letters sent to its customers that suggested their internet service would be terminated because of illegal file-sharing.

According to a recent study by music body British Music Rights, almost two-thirds of 14- to 24-year-olds in the UK said they had shared music files on the internet using peer-to-peer networks such as Limewire and BitTorrent
Good luck arresting all those people...

Virgin = joke.

Two thirds of the people... Probably a third of the people interviewed were lying. Everyone I know has used some sort of filesharing at least once. I hope the government agencies like arresting the majority of the kids in high schools.

-1 for Virgin, +1 for you.

Let's put it this way, if there was a chance they could do it, even a small
chance they proberbly would.

Virgin are trying to act as some sort of spearhead against piracy and in doing
so are only achieving two things.

Coving their asses from lawsuites.
Threating peoples rights online.

Let's hope they get bored, soon.

Its becoming a problem now really , we use to be few to use mirc or peer to peer 10 years ago . Now its getting way to big . I could not care less for Virgin or Universal but .. i do care about pc gaming and my unlimited Internet access . I think Internet company will use those pretext to change there price and services ... a bit like the Oil company have done with the different imaginary Oil crisis .
