Asus 650i or 750i? - Page 5

the nf750 is the 650 but it has another chip on the board to add the pcie2 slots.

they will both do about the same but it seems the 750 is doing ddr2 upto 1200 but the 650 was maxxing out around ddr2 1000.

all 3 will not get the best out of a quad as they need better power regs but they will all do well with a duo.

given the choice i would take the 750 for the more advanced bios options if nothing else, which 1? i would go for which ever looks like it has the best bundle including any cooling it has i wont need to replace.

kyuu take a look @

+1 for the help man, I liked the look of the P5K-pro but a mate told me that is suffers from bad vdroop...

The trouble with that option is that vdroop is there for a reason; as you come 'off load' the voltage shoots back up to a very high level - vdroop is there to prevent that being so high it causes damage. Baords with top-notch voltage regulation need less vdroop to compensate. ASUS (and others) included this due to public demand, despite it being a dangerous option. That having been said the droop is so ridiculous that it might be ok to reduce it a little..

That's what he said

750i although some people are experiencing a few minor problems such as video corruption I'm yet to see it on my pc and they have almost worked the problem out with BIOS updates the latest BETA version of the BIOS seems to have fixed it for many people.
