If the computer temps are hovering pretty closely to your ambients that is always a good sign. My ambient to CPU idle is usually within 5C.

Well I dunno man, I'm confused on what the beef is. Is it possible the BIOS needs to be flashed or maybe the battery reset?

how do I reset the battery? Turn off and unplug my computer, then remove the battery for a set amount of time? Or something completely different?

Comp, make sure the machine is off and unplugged from the wall outlet. I would push the power button a few times to discharge any power that may be left over in the system. The CMOS battery (CR2032) is mounted differently in some boards. Just visually take a look at it. Mine at home can pop out by using basically my finger. Some may require a flat head screwdriver. It really depends. By taking out the battery this will reset all of your BIOS settings to factory so just FYI. If you haven't memorized what you had before you may want to write some of the settings down.

Good luck

I've never personally reset a battery, but yeah, turn the computer off and remove it for a certain amount of time. I think 5-10 minutes and put it back in. This is just a thought, I don't know exactly what removing a battery does, though I'm pretty sure it resets the BIOS if you're having any problems.

Nope, nothing, resetting the bios did nothing at all.

Any idea what setting could be causing this in the bios if there is one?

Any clue? Even pointing me in the right direction of what it might or possibly might be would help.

Comp, I don't think it's a setting at all. Your overclocks are just not stable and the BIOS is reverting back to factory settings to avoid from booting with an unstable OC. I would just try and shoot for the highest stable OC on stock voltage. If your getting "Warning! Now system is in Safe Mode" at POST then this is a clear sign of an unstable OC. Your BIOS is basically telling you the settings you entered are not going to work.
Make sure that your also manually entering in the settings and not leaving anything on AUTO.

Good luck

Ah.

But oddly even if I try to boot with no changes and just changing the HT multi it does this..which if I go with the guide hinders my OC.

Do you have the latest BIOS for your mainboard? MB manufacturers are always adding/fixing issues with BIOS even a year or more after they release.

Mega, great suggestion. The latest BIOS was released about a month ago.

Comp, if your having troubles navigating through the ECS website, here is the direct link: http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Pro...ID=123&LanID=0

Good luck
