Gtx 260 Vs. 9800gtx Sli - Page 4

Single card solution would be best in your case.

7600's in Sli bearly equal 1 8800GT... So yes, any upgrade would be a vast improvment for you.

650 watt + PSU, get a Core 2 Duo E8400, a GTX 260 , and a Nvidia 750i Mobo..

All you could get for like 650 if you tried hard.

Biggest problem I have had with SLI is dual monitors. If you are running XP go for it, if you are running Vista please reconsider and likely get the GTX 260 or GTX 280.

Get the 9800GTX's, because yeah everyones right about them being equal to a 280, but if your going to be willing to get two 260's then thats probably going to be your better choice=)

Hey guys, same sorta issue. I'm buying a new system in the next two days and so far i have :

Antec Nine Hundred Tower

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 BOX CPU

500Gb Seagate SATA2 32Mb HDD

4096Mb 4Gb DDR2 800 Memory

Corsair 620W HX-620 ATX

Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3P P35 MB

Now im stuck on my GFX card and really the main choices i have are a GeForce GTX 260 896Mb or a 9800GTX of some sort, what i want to know is if its worth going up to the 260GTX from the 9800 and if theirs any other cards i should be looking at.

I need to stick with my current mobo for at least another 18 months, hence why I'm going for a 6400+.

However, since making my first post last week, my PSU gave up at the weekend after I had taken everything apart to give it a clean..!!!!! LMAO...

One of the guys at work here is looking at it tonight, ideal time to go high on a PSU I guess..
