Will the GTX 200 series be short lived due to ATI competing quite well?

Hard to say the 200 series is more money but it performs better than the new ATi. To my knowledge the ATi's Driver are a little behide compared to Nvidia

I believe the next nvidia is staged for Jan/Feb/March (so in other words, Q1) of 2009

So no, it will not be short lived.
