OCZ Vendetta 2 - £32 after P&P -
http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Compo...roductId=31337
As good as the TRUE from many benches. Comes with a decent fan too

What? You can pay in quantities of squid now? Dead or alive?

I'm just kidding, you've already got some good suggestions, so all I can recommend is saving up for water.

Lol, not sure if you meant it but that's pretty suave

I do intend to play with water some way down the line, after I've spent put more squids into my flat

Any idea if Aria.co.uk use Royal Mail or not? i prefer RM because I tend to miss the delivery if it's not in the morning and don't like trecking to warehouses, when the RM one is just in town.

How is the Vendetta compared to the Thermaltake Big Typhoon? I'm deciding against the OCZ now, looks a bit crappy and the TT will be Royal Mail too but I don't know how to cancel my order and it's Saturday

From experience, the BT is a little better than the freezer 7. The Vendetta 2 will perform considerably better - It is one of the best coolers currently available. The Bigtyphoon VX has :turd: mounting - horrid pushpins, at least the old version had screws.

I never liked the look of the massive tower coolers personally, so my opinion is kinda biased even considering how superior some of thema re with cooling, but I'm a Zalman guy personally and I love the 9500, which is in my rig. I guess the only advantage it really has over those other coolers is it isn't as hard to install and won't look like a paperweight on your motherboard, lol.

I second the Vendetta 2, it is by no means crappy. Although I own one so I would say that

But if by crappy you mean it doesn't look as uh cool? as the others, i'd take performance over looks anyday. I think it looks good anyway.

Ok I'll stick with the OCZ.
What?! The tower coolers look way cooler imo Not that I'm bothered as I don't use a windowed case... I was just worried about the sound it makes lol.

You mean that conspicuous sound of a creeking motherboard as the cooler pulls it down?

I'm sure you won't regret buying the OCZ, beat the TRUE in this test -
http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.ph...1&limitstart=9

I think tower coolers are better IMO - You can get a good front>rear airflow with them too.

The Big Typhoon isn't a tower cooler but its one heavy SOB. The informinator got his to nearly a kilo.
