suggestions on mb for 64x2 6000

Thread Starter
im putting a second computer together for my work. i need some suggestions for a mb. it seems like there are not a whole lot of choices for the 125w processors. i want it to be able to handle the 140w phenoms that will be coming out too. is asus the only one so far that has put out a compatibility list for their mbs? looking to keep the price <$175

here is a really nice MB, it is AM2+.. means it will support Amd's Quad cores and the 45nm Phenoms that are coming out in Q1 or Q2 of 09 and Oc better than most mb

A Russian has a nice board recommendation I would like to add another motherboard since it is in your price range and seems to be a solid board as well the MSI board.

whatever you do stay away from msi... ive had numerous bad experiences with them. Asus is a decent company, second only to DFI. With the price on that DFI, its a great deal, and I think you should go for it.

I agree DFI and Asus would have to be the best motherboard makers available in the market but DFI is not 1st Tier like Asus is.

Superk, what kind of bad experiences have you had with MSI motherboards?

Imone03, take a look at the 790FX motherboard that Russian suggested. All I've heard about this board was good things. Below are a few links to reviews for this motherboard:

Good luck with your decision
