Looking for a 5.25" bay fan controller that... - Page 2

FYI
One thing I noticed about fan controllers just yesterday is how PWM controllers are much quieter.

I'm suprised I noticed it as tolerant to noise as I am, but the Ultra Kaze 3000's I've been using for radiator testing have sort of a noticeable clicking sound when undervolted with a typical sunbeam controler down to 2000RPM and even more noticeble the lower you go.

Yesterday I tried hooking up the single fan I have testing right now to the crystalfontz so I could control speeds that way. What do you know, no clicking...

Anyhow, PWM appears to be superior in preventing fan undervolting noises at least with the ultra kaze, I'll have to play around with this some more.

There ya go. Just don't put all 8 on one channel, split them into pairs and you'll be just fine
