1.5gbs Or 2gbs?

Hey guys.
I have a crappy motherboard wich i could OC to 245fsb, but one day one of my friends gave me a Kingston value ram ddr2-667 1gb stick and i decided to put in my build..
After that the Max Oc is 230fsb*9=2070mhz.

I had two sticks of ram, 1 is qimonda ram 1gb ddr2-533 and the other is some titan 512mb ddr2-533 wich i found at my dads company.

With the two stick i was able to do 2.2ghz OC for 24/7 use.

Now the question..

Whats the performance gain from 512mb to 2gbs?
Should i stay with 2gbs? if so, how would i tweak the memory so it can give me more OC..?

Honestly id stay w/ 2gigs but i guess it really depends on what programs your using... and how much you multi-task...

If your going to use the computer for more cpu strenuous stuff id recommend going w/ the 1.5 instead...

Yeh those games arent going to require massive ammounts of ram - and since you got a rid of crysis go w/ the ram that has better timings

not really sure what you can do as far as ram benchmarking - to be completely honest w/ you (and i think a lot of people would agree) you wont physically see any difference in load times etc between the two - i mean even the difference between ddr2 and ddr3 is so small the performance difference's are almost entierly un noticable ... I honestly would just vote for the two gigs since then you have more room for multi-tasking or bigger programs to run ... the 1.5 being a little faster isnt really going to show much difference at all.

It just occured to me - you have a 1gb stick a 512mb stick and a 2gb stick????

why not just put the 1 and 2 on the board... you would have 3gigs loads of room for multi tasking...regardless i doubt you would ever see the difference between the 1.5 and 2g

Im not sure but RivaTuner might have a plugin that you could download to check ram stats...

Well from what I can tell, the 512MB stick and the slower 1GB stick are the same speed, so just use the slow 1GB stick along with the faster 1GB stick for a total of 2GB.

Take a look at the BSEL mod guide in my sig, do the 1066 mod which will give you 266fsb and your ram will be at default settings.
