Any Compelling Reason for Vista??? - Page 2

Vista has been good to me since I installed it only 3 nights ago.. I love everything about Vista, the DX10, how Vista Looks, how Apps load faster, better Driver support for nVidia (in my eyes)..

Sure it might be a little hard to get used too, but once u do, its great

I will NEVER go back to XP!

XP 32: Is great for the machines that dont have the power or the RAM
Vista x64: Great driver support, much better than XP64. It also has DX10

You should either get xp 32 or Vista 64.

I love Vista also its seems to be alot more secure ... however i do have some software that will not run in x64 vista and the only unsupported hardware i have is my Palm Zire 71 PDA (palm will not release software for 64bit OS ...)other than that I am happy with it . BTW also you can get a full copy of Vista Home Premium OEM from Newegg for about $100...

as for my reasons ... I needed a 4-bit OS as i do plan to get up to 8 gigs of memory in my rig by the end of the year ,,, and would really like to use that 8 gigs lol

I went from XP to Vista 32bit, to Vista 64bit and back to XP Pro. The main reason i did this was because 64bit vista worked flawless since retail, till about a month ago. Everything just seemed to take a dump. Vista started to slow down a lot, boot up times were incredibly long. It wasn't a virus, but it seemed to deteriorate within time. I always had all the latest updates. So i went to XP Pro, in reality i went back cause i wanted to see what my setup would do to it (speed wise). As of now, im happy with XP. Although i do plan on going back to Vista x64 soon, I'm enjoying XP for now. Just be warned, it seems like almost everything is beginning to adopt Vista and FAST. So make a wise choice.
