Your MB selection...
3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots
- 2-way or 4-way CrossFire at x16/x16/NC bandwidth
- 3-way CrossFire at x16/x16/x4 bandwidth
- 2-way CrossFire + Physics at x16/x16 bandwidth

Apparently the reference to SLI bridge is a typo.
One card... you can add as many as you have the required slots

Thanks duke.

For you guys that are using the DFI lanparty board, ive seen some comments about the chipsets getting hot, which heatsinks/coolers work good with the dfi board?

I saw DF! offers one on newegg but all the comments say its junk but it looks like it would cool at least better then stock..Ive allready got the case, the extra case fans and the PSU orderd so next is the motherboard and the phenom.

Ive also been looking at the k9a2 platinum it just looks like a better built board

the chipset gets really hot, add a fan for 5$ you'll be glady ou did.

also if you plan on going phenom, you'll want a motherboard with the new southbridge if you intend on overclocking.

currently on the egg are these mobos
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=sb750&x=0&y=0

the new southbridge can add about 400mhz to the oc
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813186149 the first 790fx out the door. many dfi people went to foxconn, so this board should do pretty good

i've also heard the 9950be does better than 9850be for some reason on overclocking. i got my 9600be to 2.7g before she topped out, so i think the new sb would make 3ghz easy. and if you can find a 9600be for cheap, might be worth a try!

I'd go for a X4 9950 when the price drops to $186.

I'd wait for the 790FXB-M2RS. right around door, looks the same, better southbridge=better phenom overclockings!!!! looks to be out in europe...

If you want cpu cooling, don't buy the zalman.
Mine doesn't cool as good as it should and after about halve a year of having it running at full speed it got quite loud...

I agree, I would definitely wait for a board with a SB750 south bridge. From what I've seen, there is a very noticeable difference in overclocking capability for the CPU.

Also as far as cooling, I just got an OCZ vendetta 2 for 9850BE and it's got fantastic performance. If you change the stock fan for a high cfm fan the performance is excellent.

Thanks ive been also looking at the T.R.U.E and the tuniq towers..

Ill definitly scoop up a 790SB bridge board when it comes down to it..

I heard that you really dont see the true performance of the T.R.U.E. until you lap it, and then they're supposed to be the best around.
