Getting Strange Black Squares when watching Video.

Thread Starter
I've been getting these weird black squares all over my screen when watching movies on VLC every so often. This is on my sig rig so I'm using a slightly overclocked 8800GTX at 621/1000. As soon as I minimize the video they all disapear and I can't say i've played a game long enough these says to see if would happen under a stressful 3D session. as anybody had this issue before and know how to fix it? I've already tried formatting my comp and have nvidia's laterst drivers installed.

Good site to diagnose artifacts HERE

AtiTool is a good place to start. Scan for artifacts and watch the temps see if theyre higher than high 80's into 90's.

You might even have some problems with your connection. I presume VLC is streaming stuff ?

Good luck with that site. The guy that runs it can diagnose a lot of problems if you send a screenshot.
