Given the choice would you prefer...

An E7200 and an Ati hd4870 or and E8400 and a hd4850.

The reason I ask is because I'm trying to keep my current build below a certain price point for the sake of my sanity and to prove to myself that I have the will power to adhere to my original budget.

From all accounts I've read, I hear that the extra 3mb cache on the e8400 makes very little difference to performance (I'm a college student and I'm just using this for gaming, browsing the web, listening to music etc.).

The specs for my intended build are in my sig minus the case, video card, and processor.

Thanks in advance for helping this notoriously indecisive fellow ocn resident .

E7200 and 4870. You can overclock it to almost a good E8400 overclock.
