Um yes, yes they are, the fact that nvidia was able to lower the price of the 280 by $150 just goes to show how much they were ripping off, especially since they are still going to be making a profit even with the lower prices.

Now, for AMD to get their act together, and sadly I dont think the move to 45nm is going to have enough of an effect.

My point is not weather or not the price of the 280 dropped $150, what I am saying is that no matter who the competition is, there is going to be competition and it is going to bring down prices.

But not necessarily to a specific level. If the ATI HD47xx series was a flop, do you think we would have seen nVidia lower the prices of their GTX 2xx series as they've done so far? The answer to that, is no.

I don't have to thank ATi. Hell, I don't need to thank Nvidia.
I payed $300 for each 8800GTX and Im happy as hell. 2 year investment and it still plays all games just dandy.

I dont need companies TELLING me what to choose. I'll choose on my own.

And, I was going to go ATi next round. Still think I will. But these kinds of things just annoy me.
It's not ATI that's gloating

It's the guy who wrote the article who's gloating for ATI
