lol, this was actually a build I considered for myself, but I didn't put a case in there. That's up to you. Thats $502 + shipping after the 2 mail in rebates which are 30 and 25 bucks. That should leave you enough cash for a centurion 5.

ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro - $31.99
Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB DDR2 800 - $46.99
GIGABYTE GV-NX88T256HV1 GeForce 8800 GT 256MB - $69 after $30 MIR
Corsair 450 VX - $60 after $15 MIR
Pioneer 20x DVD Burner - $33
Western Digital Caviar SE 250GB - $54.99
Total - $412

That 8800 GT is a STEAL for 70 bucks. I paid $180 for mine just 5 months ago and that was a steal even then! I threw in a CPU cooler so you can overclock that Allendale to 3.0ghz and get the same performance you would from a x2 6000+

Look at that, you still got about $200 to play with.

EDIT: Oh and for a case, get a CM Centurion, awesome airflow, easy to work with and only $50.
I like this build, I'd go with a Gigabyte DS3L board though for a little more

Then, with my build that I posted, take out the HDD and e7200, then add an e8400.

Get the HD4850 over the 8800GT. Newer technology, better drivers and more powerful.

Try and get a E7200 instead of a E2180.

E7200 is so much better in games even at stock than a E2180 overclocked to 3 ghz.

from your GPU try a GTS 512 or if you can push it try a GTX 260. I own these two card and they both perform great. but the GTS 512 is an overclocking monster. people have been getting 780MHz core on stock cooling I think max Core is 825MHz both artifact are ditected

Except the HD4850 is better than both. And yes, the E7200 is better but then again, the difference in games is minimal at high resolutions.
