The D has dynamic contrast and overdrive (I think they also fixed 1:1 pixel mapping in it). I like 2560x1600 myself, but I'm not willing to pay the premium for the monitor and the video cards to drive it . It really just depends on your setup and preferences. The panel with the lowest lag is the LG L227WTG-PF (22"), but that only matters if you can actually notice input lag of less than a frame.

Bah, all this discussion of brands always seems pointless to me. If 2 displays have the same panel I am going for the cheaper of the 2. I have been rocking my Soyo 24" with a P-MVA panel for a year now and love it. I will never buy a 24" with a TN panel, I have been spoiled on this now. Especially since even a year ago it only cost me $290. Not the prettiest thing in the world though, but I can't complain with a black bezel, it matches everything else fine.

I say do some research, find out what kind of panel is in whatever monitor you choose and decide if it is right for you. One downfall to mine is it only has 1 DVI and 1 VGA hookup, but since I only use it for my desktop I don't need any HDMI hookups or anything. A monitor is one of the more expensive parts for your computer, but it is without a doubt the most important part too. I wouldn't want to even be on my computer if I didn't like the display
