Overclocking Help?

Thread Starter
Hi, i dont know if this is the right place to ask this question but
i have a computer running with
Intel Duo Core 2 3.9Ghz Overclocked from 3.0
and i have 2 Nvidia 9800 GTX's running at their stock clock of 675

now i can run it at about 750Mhz, but when i try to run at 800Mhz it runs for a bit then crashes...

if i were to lower my cpu speed to about 3.6, would i be able to increase the speed of the GPU card?

no, lowering your CPU overclock shouldnt affect your GPU overclock

what are you using to test the stability of the processor and what are you using to overclock your GPU's?

unless its your PSU that's limiting you, your cards are probably just not stable at those clocks. back them down a little and try again.
