9800GTX Fan Issues

Thread Starter
Ok so regardless of the jet engine like sounds it makes - the 9800gtx fan does a great job at putting my gpu temps down to about 38C idle and 55 or so load...

I set up riva tuner and made a profile that runs the fan at 100% 24/7 so that I can preserve the life and enjoy the lovely singing of my video card...

Sadly for some reason I cant seem to keep it at 100.... It will stay there once I set it in riva tuner but if the computer goes to sleep (which it does when I get on OCN for 4 hours lol) after waking it up I find that the riva tuner settings dont stick...

Rivatuner is set to turn the fan on to 100% on start up which it does just fine but sleep kills it. I find my self getting on crysis w/ no gpu fan running and thinking about it 20 minutes in quickly discovering my gpu temps at like 65 or so...

I really really hate high temps when it comes to Chinese plastic and electronics and id like the card to last as long as possible.

Any solutions?

Oh and I tried nTune (even keeping the auto turn on feature to kick the fan on at like 40C) sleep still messes it up.

Oh and drives are up2date...
