2.

It's not a really just a HTPC. A better, cooler, and performing HTPC for much less. The 8800GTS G80 does not support PureVideo 2 so it can't hardware accelerate BluRay.


You can replace your CPU, motherboard, RAM, PSU, and video card for the cost of JUST your CPU alone.
45w X2 Athlon = $50
780G = $60
2x2GB Generic = $60

The Z-5500's are cheaper on Dell.com too.

Sell the Seasonic for $100 and use the cash for a cheaper $30 PSU + other components.

Yes, you can record shows through your cable box. However, you can only watch OR record. If you want to do both at the same time, you need two cable boxes. You can also NOT use your cable box if you don't have any premium channels.

No HD recording due to DRM.

Hauppauge HVR-HVR2200 for Dual-Tuners.
