RAM suggestions?

Thread Starter
Okay, so the ballistix tracers I have now are single sided, so I'm probably going to pick up some new ram in about a month (assuming they last that long )

I'd like the kit to be atleast ddr2 800 and 2gb. I'll have roughly 50~ to spend after shipping and some new speakers (the ones I have now can no longer keep a steady volume). So far im thinking these or these.

Any suggestions?

Definitely the G.Skill, the factory timings change won't make THAT much of a difference, but you should still be plenty fast. I have their 2x2GB 1066, and I can't say enough about it. If you wait a week or so, they will probably drop down to $85 again if you have the opportunity to save some more dough.

look in the online deals forum, I got 2GB (2 x 1GB) of OCZ ram with a heatspreader, forgot the model name, for $18.99 after mail in rebate, I paid $43.99 upfront. I think the deal is still going if you hurry

For best bang for buck go with patroit extreme performance (LLK) memory. will be able to put in machine either 2x2 or 4x1 without having to make all changes that corsair or crucial need and stay away from ocz period. Just put in machine and start up.
