awesome.
do you notice significant frames per second difference when playing games? do you own any pretty graphic intense ones that you could test?
i'm sure if i plugged in crysis to my 40" LCD is would lag a little more...

Of all the ones listed, the Sony all the way.
My experience with gaming on an LCD TV (not LCD monitor, just a TV)has been overall very good. When I want to game on a big screen, I use my sig rig. The TV is a Toshiba 47" LCD, I'm not sure of the response time. 2 7900's in SLI, going to the TV through Component Video YPbPr. The most graphically intense game I played on it was COD4. With all texture settings on "extra", 2xAA, @1920x1080. I got about 35fps average, usually around 40fps dipping to high 20's during firefights (it was actually still very playable). With AA off, fps hovered around 45-50.

Isn't 1080p just 16:9 whereas something like 1920x1200 is 16:10?

Also in regards to the refresh rate aren't the TVs and the Monitors the same? (60Hz = 60FPS Max if you have Vsync which I do use because I hate tearing)

In regards to what I plan to use it for its primarily for Xbox360 and PC if my PC works good on it.

I have HD Cable service but in this day and age theres only a handful of stations that broadcast HD content and I really don't have any desire for Blu-Ray... I can appreciate Blu-Ray technology and the Playstation3 but theres maybe 2 movies I would want in Blu-Ray *shrug*

This one looks promising

Under specs it lists:
1080/24p (HDMI™ only), 1080/60p (HDMI™ / Component)

Now when they say 1080/60p does that mean 60Hz = 60FPS max w/ Vsync?

I was looking at these HDTVs from CircuitCity - they have no interest for 18 months and I figured getting a TV would serve to build my credit and keep my eyes happy.

Also I'm not saying these are the ONLY three TV's I'd consider - I'm still browsing through their site right now
cough hmm cough....NONE~!!!

Logic....look I have all Sony in my house, sat., stereo,dvd,vcr,etc...in fact still have a 70'' Sony TV I bought new in '99. Good products....

But....your on overclock.net my friend....If and when I get around to going big...it will be just that big....

I have 8dvi outs....24'' $ 300 each x 3 = $ 900 = 72''....for the extra $900 you get 8 x 24'' = WOW

If I were you and I'm not but if so I would get three- 24'' lcds'....you'll be happy I promise you....look you can use your p.c. as your t.v. just put a $ 50 tv tuner and you have the option of adding a p.c. blu-ray which is cheaper than the stand-alone blu-rays and also p.c. blu-rays are better.

.......what?

Does Overclock.net have a "Word Wrap" option?

How the hell would I bridge the image of my Xbox360 to three monitors? Not to mention I'd need Three 4870x2's in CF just to run that resolution.......................

Yes, there would be a gap between screens....but a three screen arraigement allows for center as the middle lcd....as for the resolution....24'' lcds' can get 1920 x 1600...

As for your graphics YES you would need to have either one 3870x2 with 4dvis' or 4870x2 w/4-dvis'....just one would be fine for the three lcds'....of course if you add more it would only improve the CF...as well as you could add up to 8 lcd in future.

In fact I used to have an 8800gtx...while it does not have as high resolution as 3870x2 or 48xx series....you could get an adaptor for bridging up 3 lcd from frys there about $25...last I checked.

Well I don't feel like spending $500.00+ for a new video card/motherboard and not the mention most good 24'' LCDs go for $500 easily so this would cost a lot more for...the same resolution?

Also theres not a resolution of 1920 x 1600............................
