Running OpenGL on XP?

Thread Starter
First of all, I believe OpenGL is Linux's version of DX. If this is the case is it possible to run OpenGL on windows at all? I stumbled over images of OpenGL vs DX10 and the difference is phenominal I think. Can I run my games like Crysis and Assassin's Creed in OpenGL? Can someone give me a quick run down on the situation?

openGL and directX are different.

you can run them both in windows.

i'm not an expert in either field. but they both render graphics, but in different ways.

Quake games and the first Half-life series are pretty good at rendering in OpenGL
