Best 1k+ PSU to fit in Cosmos S

Thread Starter
Looking for the best 1000 watt psu out there. Originally I was looking at the Corsair HX1000 but I'm thinking cable lengths will be an issue. Are there any others that I should be looking at?

Thanks.

None better than this imo:

Silverstone is known for long cables, and this one isn't an exception.

A little more modest, but still a high-quality beast:

Look at Robilars system, Cosmos/1000HX combo.
PM him, he'll tell you everything you want to know.

Here's a review to the Silverstone Zeus 1200W, seems like a real good PSU if you have the $$$ to spend. I imagine almost any PSU would fit a Cosmos.

I think he is saying he wants his Cosmos to fit the PSU... in terms of space and cables - how they work together....

I second the silverstone

No doubt the Silverstone is nice, but cable length is his concern.
The Corsair cables are longer than the SS.

BTW I'm not trying to pitch my Corsair

I've actually heard issues that the Corsair cables are quite short. There is even one for sale here on the forum for that exact reason.

http://www.corsair.com/_documents/hx...le_diagram.pdf
http://www.silverstonetek.com/produc...1200m&area=usa

24-pin: C - 590mm; S - 550mm
8pin/4pin CPU: C - 610mm; S - 750mm
PCI-E: C - 610mm; S - 550mm
SATA (to first connector): C - 400mm or 450mm; S - 500mm
IDE (to first connector): C - 400mm or 450mm; S - 500mm

Kind of mixed. Some cables are longer on the corsair and other on the Silverstone.

Since the Cosmos has the PSU in the bottom, the 8pin/4pin CPU power connector is the most crucial cable of them all imo. The connector is often at the top of the motherboard, and the significantly longer Silverstone cable will be of benefit here.
