Some boards may have a second PCI-Ex16 further down from the first slot than other boards, AFAIK, feel free to correct me

The slots themselves are aligned correctly, but the PCI-E slots may be lower or higher in the slot "order".

EDIT: Sniped by killer...

Hi

Well it would be great if someone that also bought this card could say what they got with it.

Cheers

I suppose it's possible with an Intel chipset. The fact that I've never seen one does not make it any more unlikely.

Lit, I think he means that the second PCI-E slot can be lower than "normal" from the first PCI-E slot.

Just got a reply from MSI saying the bridge is optional, the packaging clearly states its included, do they not know their own products????

Looks like it depends on where you buy it from or who the distributor was...in the techPowerUp review, theirs has a crossfire bridge. The cpu3d review doesn't show one and newegg's site currently doesn't have it listed.

You can either buy one online (I think they're pretty cheap) or just make sure your next card has one. I'm almost 100% certain the 4850 only needs a single connector. Or you can complain to MSI/whoever you bought it from and see if they send you one. I'm surprised MSI wouldn't just send you one anyway.

I am missing mine too. I got the MSI 4850 R4850-T2D512 and both cards do not have the link. Bought them from NewEgg. My friend has two so i'm going to steal one from him.
