No, the P45 is much better for crossfire then the P35

The P35 could only do 16x/4x Crossfire where the P45 is 8x/8x @ PCI-E 2.0

I loved my P35 P5K Deluxe, I contemplated back and forth about the x48 and the P45, in the long run, I decided that I wanted 2 full x16 slots for the upcoming 4870x2's. So I went x48. I plan on going that route, and I doubt that the x8/x8 combo of the P45 would play well with the amount of bandwidth I am guessing they'll need. I have no hard evidence at this point. P45 also has the newest SB ICH10R while the x48 is the ICH9R, I don't know if I've seen any good comparisons between the two SB in terms of their onboard RAID performance, but I'd wager that the newer one is at least a little better. I don't think you can really go wrong either way depending on what you want out of them. P45 is a nice board, that overclocks really well from what I've read, and has crossfire capability for the single GPU core cards. I basically bet on the speculation that the 4870x2 will have troubles on the x8/x8 slot configuration.
