DFI Lanparty P35 vs P5Q Pro P45

Thread Starter
I am searching for a budget board, with good OC capabilities and possible Xfire support, and I thought I had it down to the DFI Lanparty P35 board, but then I saw a combo deal(P5Q + HD4850) for $30 the normal price.

Card aside, after the savings the P5Q Pro P45 is $120, and the DFI Lanparty P35 is $140.

I'm personally leaning toward the Lanparty, since I know for a fact that it OC's well and tbh... it looks badass.

But the P5Q is an amazing deal... and it's a P45 board. It just looks too good to be true.

P5Q Pro - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...&Tpk=P5Q%2bpro

Can anyone give me their advice on this?

EDIT: I will be using a Q6600 on this.

I don't know about the P5Q pro, but I like my lanparty. If you have the money, I'd say get a DFI lanparty p45

what gpu are you using. the p5q pro can do crossfire(altho at 8x8x) so thats quite an advantage if you're using ati cards.

I considered that, but it's right on the edge of my price range.

Thanks though.

I will be using a single HD4850, and upgrading to a HD4870x2(CF with the 4850) far in the future.

see? theres your answer. get the p5q pro, and when the time comes add another HD4850 which will give you one hell of a boost, more than a single 4870 can offer.

Yeah, but as the P5Q is already cheaper AND a P45, the main question is how well it can OC/ how the extra features weigh out.

sorry for making that unclear =)
