I would say get the P45....quite simple in my opinion ....New chipset....crossfire and keeps u from upgrading in like year or so.

I just bought the P5K-E and wished I would have waited and grabbed the P5Q-E....8 sata ports, more features and I'm sure it will overclock well.

Why get a chipset that's two years old when you can get the newest one?

It seems so. But I'd still like to see how well the P5Q OC's before jumping in on it. As the Lanparty alredy has good OC reputation, and I can't seem to find much on the P5Q.

I dont think you're going to find out much as far as overclocking since the boards are so new. Techreport did a whole article on the P45 like a week or so ago....but they favor Gigabyte..

Typically what I do is go to fry's or Microcenter and try out the board I want, and if I don't like it... return it. I if I do like it, I buy it from newegg and return the board back anyway since they have a 30 day return policy and the Egg is generally cheaper....that way you can see what for yourself.....

I did it when both of my AMD Nvidia boards died and didn't like the 770 chipset and said the hell with it and went BLUE!!!! and grabbed a P35.

The p5Q OCs excellent. Just like any other decent board these days. Support for Crossfire is a + also. Just get the P5Q with the 4850.
