whats the verdict on newer q6600's? - Page 2

Dosen't matter what chip I get, because I'm swapping it out for my friends Q6600 that has a 1.25...

Sill, the new batches with 1.3+ are pretty bad. You wall before you get far into the 3Ghz range.
Blackbox.

I don't think so.

Don't know where you're taking your voltage readings from, you need to use something like everest.

I'd be lucky do get 1.26v/3.8ghz stable on my 45nm wolfdale.

My QX9650 requires ~1.3v @3.8ghz.

Check your numbers again.
His VID is 1.2625v.... that's not the voltage he was using for 3.8GHz.

I have the same VID on mine. It does 3.7GHz at 1.42v and can do 3.8GHz at 1.52v.
Once again...

Well said, My Q6600 1.325VID walled at 3.2ghz @ 1.408vcore on 680i SLi A1 board. attempted 3.4ghz 9x multiplier all the way up to 1.500vcore and it wont stable past 30 mins. imo 1.325 = junk.
