Wow you paid $1200 for that. Nice monitor . You should have got yours during BB's HDTV Special. I got a 46" 1080p Samsung LCD TV for $290 with tax and all. I got the 2nd from the top of the line with the 25,000:1 Contrast Ratio and I love it, except for the remote but a Logitech Harmony fixed that problem. I use mine as my tv and my monitor for my old Athlon XP machine as I still use it to save all my music/movies/itunes/zune/ruckus/and whatever else I had on it.
Well I bought it a year and a half ago from newegg, but yea I've seen some amazing deals since then. I'll eventually buy another one for my bedroom and/or spare bedroom so my wife can watch in HD (I only have a 27" Magnavox in the other room )
How on EARTH did you pay so little for that TV? I would buy one tomorrow if I could get that price on it....
The closest Best Buy to this POS city I live in is Memphis.....used to living in Little ROck where we have a much better electronics selection. Jonesboro=epic fail. I live about 1 hour from the newegg warehouse in Memphis actually.

lol to be honest, I barely watch anything in HD. The only channels I watch are USA, TBS, Animal Planet, Food TV, Cartoon Network, and Spike. And wouldn't you know it, none of them are in HD in my area.

27 inch ain't bad though I still have my flat screen 27" and a flatscreen 32".

I'll be getting my 4870's soon to replace the 2 4850's I got and so I'll post the temps and pics of the DuOrb on it as well. I guess sooner or later, I'm going to have to upgrade my mobo though.

I get about 20 or so channels in HD...TBS is one of them. I watch HBO, Universal, CBS, TBS, TNT, several local channels, and National Geographic in HD. I don't watch the rest of them such as Food, HSN, ESPN1 and 2, etc. I love my HDTV though...it's my baby.

Yeah sure I'll take some installed pics for ya tomorrow. Let me run a load real quick and I'll tell ya the temps.

Looks like 47 or 48c. It hasn't gone over 48c yet and the ambient temp is about 72F right now. Also, the OC is at 700/1100. The idle is 37C at the same ambient temp.

Edit: It finally went to 50c and is holding steady for now.

Lucky you I've been wanting Comcast to get TBS HD and USA HD at least and maybe even consider Animal Planet HD but they said even if they do get it, it will be digital cable only and I hate their digital cable.

Okay here's some pics of it installed. Sorry if the pics without the flash aren't great to show the brightness but if those are too bad, I'll grab my EOS and take some more pics of it for ya.

Yes I know my cable management looks like crap.....but honestly, it's all out of the way of the main air flow so I don't care too much.

lol I'm a Thermaltake Freak what can I say They've always been good with me and even let me take my PSU apart and it's still covered under warranty so I'm happy

Now if I can only get my damn RAM back from GEIL I'll be back in business so I can RMA my backup RAM....never had this much trouble with RAM before but whatever I guess.

DuOrb does rock but I feel that the Ramsinks are lacking. I think I would rather have some that are glued instead of taped but then again you probably cannot remove it. Any suggestions for alternative Ramsinks that will fit with DuOrb.
