BSOD when playing games.....

Thread Starter
Hey guys,
I just put together a new computer and everything seemed to be working fine until I tried to play a game (i.e. BF2142, COD4). The games installed and load fine but when I try to actually get into actual gameplay, my computer encounters the ohhh soo dreaded BSOD. I'm pretty familiar with OC'ing systems but this is my first time using an Intel CPU, not to mention that there are a considerable amount of options for the board in the bios and I am not completely sure how to go about adjusting the vcore (it's not labeled as such) or, for that matter, the CPU multiplier. I run memtest on the ram several times after adjusting the timings with what I believe to be the CPU multiplier at 10 and the FSB at 266 and 300 and it went through one pass without any errors. I haven't ruled out the ram as the cause of the problem though because the BSOD error at the top mentions something about "page faults".

Anyway,
-has anyone experienced any problems such as this or can provide some insight into what the problem may be? I called DFI tech support and the techie I ended up reaching twice (he must be like the only one working there) couldn't even tell me what the CPU multiplier was on the MB.

I should also probably note that the dram speed (which is similiar to the fsb/dram ratio option in my past MBs) is currently set to auto. I changed it to 333/1066 and then ran memtest and received like 28 errors halfway through the first pass.

- Also, can anyone let me know what voltage values seem to be working for them in terms of my ram and CPU? I currently have the DRAM voltage set to 2.1 and what I believe to be the vcore (the CPU VTT voltage) to 1.31.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
