Hitachi makes a nice drive, I've had to deal with their RMA system once. I dropped it down a flight of stairs and it started making a noise that I suspect were the platters out of whack. Still worked though. Did an RMA (i forgot to mention to them that it fell down some distance), no issues from Hitachi, got the drive about a week and a half after a shipped it out to them. (It sat packed up in the back of my car for a few days before i got around to actually shipping it out )

Danggg. So is that two arrays or just one? I succumbed and purchased one last night, after much debating. I also threw in a pair of Sennheiser CX300's I can't help myself... I really gotta stop shopping online for a while!!!

It's just one array. Having 1TB of storage space is nice.

This is a deal, but only slightly.
For this 320GB Hitachi at $50, you're paying $0.156 per gigabyte. You can buy a 500GB drive with the same specs for $80. That ends up being $0.16 per gigabyte, and you can buy from Seagate, WD, Samsung, or Hitachi, since they all keep their prices the same. I am amazed that the 500GB drives sell for $0.16/GB when almost every other capacity sells for around $0.24/GB.

Thanks for pointing that out. I haven't broke down HD's that way in a long time. Very interesting. I got the 320GB to match my other 3 that I have, just in case I want to change/add my array(s).

That was my point. In fact, 640GB for a C:\\ in RAID0 is too much space for me! I feel like I'm wasting it. IDK what to do with all this space... I should have sold a 320 and bought 2x250's...
