the ram i got is 800 mhz but it is saying i go 400 mhz how do i fix

Dual channel. Two sticks run in dual channel, effectively doubling their speed.

No actually its DDR (double data rate) meaning your 400Mhz = 800Mhz
Dual channel is a whole different thing.
