It is also quite a bit easier to use. You don't need to install raid drivers, hell you don't need to install any drivers. It will work out of the box with everything. When something goes "Not responding" more often than not it recovers, unlike XP.
Update is easier and more useful, it will update drivers and other software.
Vista is a nice OS.
Although I don't know much about DX10 I doubt it is hype. Is DX10 suppose to make the graphics look better or perform stability, performance, and create standards (Unified Shaders
)? I think many people fasly expected DX10 to magicly make everything look better.
Well, if you like to see rendered objects cut jagged edges through particle effects, DX9 Bioshock is just peachy. DX10 is worth it for that reason alone IMO.
Vista is more secure, more responsive, and just all around better.
