When you’re checking your email account on multiple devices daily there’s always a greater chance for some type of security compromise. Well, Gmail users now have some extra ways to keep prying eyes away from their inboxes, thanks to a new feature that will let users see how many computers their account is open on and allow them to sign-out remotely.

The feature takes the form of a message at the bottom of the Gmail interface that indicates other locations where the account is active. You can then click through to find out the other IP addresses where you are (or were recently) logged in, and whether those locations are web-based, on mobile devices, or elsewhere.

The rather simple yet useful new feature is currently rolling out to Gmail members using the Firefox and Internet Explorer 7 browsers. You can read more details at the Gmail Blog.

Hmmm... just checked it out, and i signed in on my iphone through the neighbors wifi, so i would get a different public ip from it, and when i checked out the details from my PC, it says that i am only logged in on one location. Nothing about being logged in from my iPhone...

But i guess being logged in on my phone isnt that big of a deal because its always on my person, and not left laying around at some party house or anything...

"This account does not seem to be open in any other location. However, there may be sessions that have not been signed out. "

thats quoted from my gmail. I assume that means you have to sign out first for it to show up, but you can hit the "log off all other sessions" button and maybe it'll kick your iPhone off.
